Three Fabrics You Need to Stand Out This Winter

Help your toddler make a fashion statement this Winter by wearing one of the 3 biggest fabrics of the season - leather, fur or tulle!

Happy Tiny Tuesday and happy Halloween!! Do you guys have any exciting plans for the holiday? The girls have their Halloween parties at school late this morning and then we’re headed to a friends house this evening for trick-or-treating and fun! Today on the blog though, it’s all about those 3 fabrics that are sure to make a statement this Winter! If you saw yesterday’s post, this pink fur vest was a big hit. And today, my girls are stealing the show and showing how littles can style leather, tulle and faux fur or “fuzzy” in this case!

It’s funny, although Abby loves to do everything big sister does, this attitude hasn’t spilled over to clothing. Emma Grace is without a doubt our “girly girl.” She would wear a dress every second of every day if she could. In fact, y’all have heard me say that often times her punishment is having to wear pants. Whatever works, right? In all seriousness though, Emma Grace has loved wearing dresses and skirts from well before 2 years. It’s crazy thinking about this now that she had such a strong opinion on her clothing from so early on.

Abby on the other hand, could give two rips. She really doesn’t seem to care much about what she has on. The only thing she’s particular about is her shoes. If she had her way, she would wear her “Frozen” crocs every single day. But clothes-wise, she doesn’t seem to have a preference – pants or dresses – on what she wears. So, since it seems to be up to me, I dress her in a pretty even mix. I prefer her to be in pants because she’s a wild one, but dresses are so dang cute, too!

So for today’s post, we found the most adorable faux fur or “fuzzy” sweater from Old Navy and styled it two ways. For Emma Grace we paired it with a popular fabric – tulle, and opted for a blush skirt. For Abigail, we went a little edgier and paired it with black faux leather leggings. Both girls have on our favorite shoes from Old Navy. We had these exact same shoes last year and the girls wore them constantly. They hold up really well and again, the blush tone is right on trend this year.
