Happy Monday, friends, and happy Halloween week! Even though Halloween isn’t my “thing,” I am super pumped solely because my girls are. We have been talking about Halloween night for weeks. Luckily for my girls, they get to wear their costumes 3 times in 24 hours (Lordy). From dance parties to school parties to trick-or-treating, we’re going to be having a spooktacular time! In all seriousness though, It’s supposed to rain Halloween…like 90% chance of rain. So, the hubs and I are doing some serious praying on our girls’ behalf.
In all seriousness though, let’s chat about how to make a statement this winter and stay warm while doing it. I feel like I always have such great intentions for a cute winter outfit, but by the time I walk out the door I’m wearing the usual boots with a chunky sweater look. I am cold about 90% off the time, which is why I typically end up in a cozy sweater.
However, I am planning on making more of an effort to be chic and cozy this year though. One of the ways I’m planning on doing this is by updating my vests. Over the years I’ve acquired a black vest, a shearling vest, and some activewear vests like this one. This year though, I am all about having some fun with my vests! One of the easiest ways to make a statement with your vest is to opt for a bold color or a fun pattern. I love this leopard one and currently have it on my birthday wish list.
There is something about pink though that just gets me every time. The pink fur vest in today’s post is right on trend color-wise (give me all the blush, right?). It’s also soft, comfy, and most importantly – keeps me warm! If pink isn’t your color, this vest also comes in burgundy and navy! When styling a bold color vest, the outfit options are endless. You could easily layer this pink fur vest over a leopard print, over a striped tee, a black dress, a white tee, or another pink piece as in today’s post. So although it’s a bold color, you’ll still get a lot of wear out of it!
STYLE TIP: If you don’t have any fur vests yet, opt for a neutral color that will go with everything like this black one from Nordstrom.
