Happy Wednesday, loves! Today is officially my last work day of the week. Wohoo! Travis and I leave for Nashville tomorrow for a wedding and a little fun! I’m probably talking about it too much, but I am just so dang excited to be sneaking away sans kids. Exploring cities is one of my favorite things to do with the hubs and I just can’t wait to be a tourist in Nashville.
Well guys, summer is in full swing. At least in Dallas it is…we’re going to get up to 98 degrees by the end of the week! Every time summer comes along I try to find a couple new fun, colorful accessories to wear. I just got these pink earrings and am eyeing these guys from Bauble Bar. But, I also like to find a couple accessories that I can wear with anything – dressy or casual, day or night!
Until the past year I didn’t really wear big earrings. I love dainty jewelry and how feminine it is and so I just wore studs and very thing necklaces. I still wear this necklace though and will never take it off. Anyway, I started to brach out and try some statement earrings and it’s been fun. I am picky though. When I wear a big pair of earrings they have to be light weight. It’s just not worth it to me otherwise. And y’all, I found the lightest weight, most versatile earring of the summer.
One of my favorite places to get earrings – statement or everyday wear – has been Leigh Breunig Designs. Almost every pair of earrings Leigh makes are lightweight and I love that. I’ve actually found myself wearing bigger earrings with more casual outfits like a white tee and jean shorts because they’re so comfortable. This pair in today’s post though is my summer statement staple for sure. When I say this is the most versatile earring y’all, I am not lying. The color goes with almost everything. I have found myself grabbing this little pair more often than not on a daily basis.
It’s actually kind of funny because most people in my neck of the woods have this pair. I laugh when Trav and I go to social gatherings because I can almost always bet that I will see one woman with this pair on. It’s cool too because it looks great on blondes and brunettes.
