Thinking of trying clean beauty products? I debated it for a long time, but held off for so many reasons. I thought it wouldn’t be sustainable financially, I didn’t know what qualified as “clean,” and I had some non-clean beauty items I really liked. But about a year ago I tried it. I took the easy route and fell in love.

CLEANSING BALM:
The cleansing balm is easily one of my favorite Beautycounter products. For starters, it has so many uses (another post to come on this), but the main two reasons I use this cleansing balm are to remove my makeup and as a moisturizing mask. I don’t know about you, but I’m super picky when it comes to cleansers. I feel like the true test of a good cleanser is one that will remove all of your eye make-up without you having to scrub away your eyelashes. This cleansing balm is so incredibly gentle on your skin and you’ll be shocked at how easily it removes your make up!
OVERNIGHT RESURFACING PEEL:
If someone is looking for a pretty immediate change in your skin, I will always recommend the resurfacing peel. It’s been a Beautycounter product favorite for years, and once you try it, you’ll see why. You’ll notice a difference in your skin within days of using it. I use this peel every other night and I swear to you, when I wake the following morning my skin truly does feel tighter.
DEW SKIN MOISTURIZER:
If you’re looking for a good moisturizer that’s light weight, but provides good coverage, I suggest the dew skin moisturizer. It’s tinted to add good color. Most of the year I layer the tint skin foundation over it, but when I have more color in the summer I just wear this by itself.
CHARCOAL FACIAL MASK:
This clay mask works wonders! It draws out all of your impurities (brace yourself) and absorbs excess oil in your skin. It gently exfoliates your skin leaving it looking smoother and reducing your pore size. I use mine 2-3 times per week. This is a great product for oily or congested skin. Highly recommend!
BROW GEL:
I am so far from a make-up expert, but one thing I’ve noticed over the past couple of years is that doing your eyebrows makes a big difference. It helps to shape your face and give it dimension. It’s the one make-up item I use almost every day. I recommend this brow gel over the pencil because you can use it in two ways. You can use it over your eye pencil for a little more definition and to hold everything in place, or you can use it on it’s own simply to add color and shape. It’s great to wear going out at night or to the pool.
