Happy Sunday, friends!!! I feel like I’ve been MIA here for a bit, but we had quite a lot going on the past couple of days. Thursday night we went to the Texas State Fair – we didn’t eat any fried foods this year, but we did enjoy some Fletcher’s Corn Dogs. Did any of you try any friend food? Then Friday we had Fall Fest for our girls’ school, and Saturday we went down to Waco for Baylor Homecoming. I am excited to be back and sharing this week’s “Save or Splurge” topic – white accessories!
It should be no shock to you guys that I was over-the-moon excited that this was a trend for this season. I am already all about whites and blushes, so white accessories just fits right into my wheelhouse. What I love about this trend is that it creates such a different type of statement than winter white does. That crisp white color just pops so much more than winter white. Don’t get me wrong, I love winter white pants, tops and jackets. However, a white accessory can add that “wow factor” to your look in a way winter white cannot.
I like this trend, too, because it’s super easy to stick to your personal style with this trend. For example, if you wear mainly black or darker jewel tones in the fall, think of how cool a pop of white looks? Adding some white booties or a white bag can make a massive statement. If you don’t necessarily want to invest in white booties, opt for a white accessory you could wear this coming spring or summer, too, like sunglasses.
