Happy Monday, loves!! I hope you all had a great weekend! I got to have a little taste of cooler temps in New York City during Fashion Week and it’s making me so excited for Fall. Even though Texans hold on to the warm weather as long as we can, you would never know by our wardrobes. We’ve already started switching over to Fall clothes in hopes that it makes the cool weather come sooner. Today we get to talk about one of the trendiest and most affordable jackets of the season – the denim jacket!
Have you guys jumped aboard the denim jacket trend? The denim jacket has been around for decades, it’s true, but it is here in full force this season. We’re seeing cropped denim jackets, distressed denim jackets, denim jackets with logos on the back, you name it. It’s kind of fun because you can pick the style what works with your personal style! It’s great too because it goes with literally everything! You can buy a neutral one like the Madewell one in today’s post that is the most versatile. Or, you can opt for an edgier jacket to make more of a fashion statement.
I personally chose this Madewell jacket because I wanted it to go with everything. I picked a medium wash color and opted for a cleaner look so it could be dressed up. I used to think that denim jackets made you look boxy, but this one cuts in slightly to show off your feminine figure. Because of the way it’s cut it look great layered over more feminine pieces like this maxi dress as well as more casual items like jeans and a tee.
