It’s crazy to think that our newborn photos took place 2 months ago! I so love looking back through these photos and just remembering the sweetness of those first few days with a newborn.
Yes, there are moments when you’re so tired you’re scared to hold your baby because you fear you might drop them, or you feel so emotionally exhausted that you could cry at any second, but then there are the sweet moments that overshadow any and all of the struggle.
For me, those sweet moments were smelling Abby’s head, watching Emma hold Abby for the first time, cuddling with both of our girls in our bed, giving Abby her first sponge bath, kissing her sweet cheeks, and just staring at her for hours.
I do think that life just gets sweeter as time goes on, but there really is nothing that can replace those first few days and just the surprise you feel at how much you can love another human.
