How many of you are in need of a gym bag? Rewind time a couple of weeks and I would have been the girl in the room raising her hand higher than anyone else. For years I’ve been carrying an old tote in a pink floral pattern as a poor substitute for a gym bag. It didn’t exactly scream “chic 30-something.” Don’t get me wrong, the pink tote is cute, but should probably only be carried by an elementary school girl to a slumber party or something. Needless to say, I’ve been in the hunt for an “adult” gym bag.
I’ve been pretty picky in my search for a gym bag, wanting something that was functional – would hold my gym clothes, shoes, and phone, and at the same time be classic and chic enough to double as a purse if need be. So often I am squeezing my workouts in between meetings or seeing patients, and so having something to hold all of my gym stuff in one place has become more of a necessity than a nicety as of late.
I hadn’t really had any luck finding the ideal bag until I was introduced to this beautiful Jemma bag. The outer appearance is what first caught my eye – the chic black exterior, the leather straps, and the nylon – easy to wipe down. The size and the inside of the bag is what sold me though. Because of the way the bag is designed – more of a rectangle than a square, it remains compact enough to look like a large purse. But, it’s really huge inside! It hold my gym shoes, my gym clothes, my water bottle, my make-up bag, and my mini Jemma bag that holds my phone and wallet. I think the inside pattern is super chic too, and I love that it has several pockets on the inside. Anybody else a lover of pockets?
The features I wasn’t exactly expecting when I got this bag, but that were pleasant surprises were the shoulder strap – making it so much easier to carry, the matching laundry bag, and the adorable cosmetic case. During the week I am all over the place and constantly switching from my work bag to my gym bag to my purse. So, having a small cosmetic case that can hold my wallet and phone makes it so easy to transition from bag to bag. All I have to do is move my cosmetic bag rather than shifting over tiny individual items.
All in all, I’ve been carrying this bag for a couple for a couple of weeks now and LOVE it! I’m already debating getting it in one of the other colors, too. 🙂 Check it out and let me know how you like it!
