why I love being a beautycounter consultant

top 5 best beautycounter products

Why I Became a Consultant:

Over the past couple of years I have been making gradual changes to how I treat my body. I’ve learned to balance working out and living life, and I’ve learned how important moving my body is for my mental health. I shifted the way I think about food and started making better, cleaner food choices.

The last area I started to focus on was my skin. I knew that the skincare and beauty products I was using were full of chemicals that were not helpful to my skin. So, I gradually started switching my makeup and beauty products over to clean Beautycounter products. The result was truly shocking – my skin cleared and my adult acne went away. Sure, I get a blemish every known and again, but it’s no longer something that bothers me.

Once I started seeing a difference in my skin, I was sold. I was spending a good amount on my own products so I decided to look into becoming a consultant. I wanted to know if I would make money on myself. Can’t blame a girl, right?

How Has My Experience Been?

My experience has truly been better than I imagined. From a business perspective, I have not had any pressure to sell products or host parties. It has been a beautiful experience of transforming my own skin and helping others transform their skin, too.

I have learned so much about the clean beauty industry and what is good for my skin and what is bad for my skin. Another highlight about being a consultant has been all of the women I’ve gotten to know through the business. Women that are strong, independent, loving, and moms just like me! Women that take joy in supporting and encouraging other women!

What’s The Big Deal About Clean Beauty Products?

Is This Another MLM?

Beautycounter is not like the MLMs you are used to hearing about. Beautycounter does not require you to purchase any products; nothing auto-ships to you or your customer. While Beautycounter has consultants that we highly recommend you shop through, Beautycounter also has brick and mortar stores and an e-commerce website that you can shop through as well.

Despite the ability for customers to shop independently through the website or a store, we recommend people shop through Consultants as they are meant to be a resource to the customer. Consultants are there to answer any questions, make product recommendations, and help one transform her skin!

How Much Does It Cost?

The Enrollment Kit is a flat fee of $98. The Digital kit includes a personal website to promote your business, access to #betterbeauty training and education, business analysis and tracking, and digital marketing tools.

If you choose the Enrollment Kit, you receive everything in the Digital Kit plus two products, printed marketing materials, and a Beautycounter tote and pouch.

There are starter sets available for your to purchase at a discount at the time of your enrollment, but you do not have to purchase them at all. I didn’t when I started. In fact, that’s one of my favorite things about being a Beautycounter consultant is that you don’t have to spend a certain amount on product each year or each month to promote your business.

What Does Being a Consultant Require?

Thankfully there are no requirements to bug your friends or host a party every month. The only requirement is that you hit $1,200 in business volume every 6 months. $1,200 seems like a high number, but it includes any purchases you make for yourself. Everyone is always surprised how easily that hit $1,200.

And what happens if you don’t his the $1,200? You simply get bumped down to a customer. There aren’t any fees you have to pay and you don’t have to pay off the remainder of the $1,200.

What’s The Income Potential?

The income potential is endless. The beautiful thing about being a Beautycounter consultant is that it is whatever you make it. For me, it’s extra income or “fun money” for family trips or fun things for our girls. Others treat it as a full-time business and have made it their main income.

What’s The Best Time to Join?

The best time to join is now. The holidays are right around the corner and that means the earning potential is larger than normal. Truthfully, the holiday season is one of the easiest time to introduce your friends and family to clean beauty as so many are looking for gifts to give loved ones!

Common Reasons to NOT Join:

I Don’t Have The Time – I totally get this concern because I know it all too well. As a mother, part-time speech pathologist, and influencer, extra time is not something that is readily available. However, as I stated before, this business is what you want to make of it. For me, I simply enjoy using the products and love sharing those products with family, friends, and you guys! It is what you make it!

I Don’t Know Anything About Clean Beauty – I didn’t know anything about clean beauty when I joined and neither do you! All I knew was that I wanted to start putting better, cleaner ingredients on my skin and that was my starting point. From there, I began to learn more about the clean beauty industry through educational training and those on my team.

The biggest testament to clean beauty doesn’t have to be your expansive knowledge of clean ingredients. Rather, it’s you! You and your skin is your walking testament. For me, the switch to clean beauty products has left my skin more hydrated, brighter, tighter, and my adult acne has vanished.

I Am Not a Beauty Expert – me either! Good news is you don’t have to be an expert to use clean beauty products. I am by no means an expert, but I love learning and sharing what I love!

I Don’t Want to Host a Party – you totally don’t have to! Heck, I haven’t! Parties aren’t my jam and never have been. I don’t ever want to feel like I’m putting friends or family in a position where they feel pressured to buy something. So, rather than host parties I just share products I genuinely like and use.

Again though, this business is what you make it. If you don’t want to host a party, you don’t have to. However, if you enjoy that and can do it organically, then by all means; it’s a great way to share your business with those around you!

I Don’t Want to Be Pressured to Spend a Lot of Money – as I mentioned before, you do not have to spend a certain amount of money to be a consultant. The only money requirement is that you sell $1,200 in business volume by 6 months. If you don’t hit it, you simply get bumped down to customer status.
