Happy Saturday, friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I’m so glad you’re spending some of your time here today because this post is so incredibly special to me. In reality, any post with my littles is fun, but today I get to share with you guys a family tradition I just started with Emma Grace.
Growing up in Dallas, I grew up with James Avery jewelry. My mom was drawn to the company’s beautiful jewelry, strong Christian beliefs, and she started me on their jewelry early. Specifically, she started a charm bracelet for me. I remember loving each big holiday or each time my parents would travel to another city because that meant I would get a new charm.
I’m not sure if I appreciated it as much as I should then, but I sure do now. About a month ago I pulled my bracelet out of my jewelry box and sat down with Emma Grace to explain to her what each charm meant. It was so neat to get to tell her bits and pieces of my childhood via each charm. My first cat, playing the flute, the state of Missouri for all the summers I got to go to my grandma’s lake house, and so on; it was so neat! The sweetest part though was that Emma Grace loved it too!
About a month ago Travis and I decided we would start Emma Grace with her own charm bracelet. For those that have followed along for awhile, you know Emma Grace loves jewelry. She’s also super type-A so we knew she would be able to take care of a nice piece of jewelry.
So, a couple of weeks ago, I took Emma Grace on a mommy and me date that ended at James Avery. James Avery is currently offering an incredible deal related to their charms. Now through May 29th, if you buy two charms, you receive a charm necklace or bracelet for free (up to a $70 value). It was kind of fate. So, Emma Grace and I spent time walking through the store, looking at all the charms, and talking about which ones she resonated with. She definitely thought she was a big girl.
We ended up with 4 charms – a dachshund charm for our dog Mia, ballet slippers because she’s a ballerina, a little heart for love, and half of a “best friends” heart to match her bestie. It was so sweet and I loved seeing her light up. She’s been wearing it daily since we got it too!
Honestly, starting Emma Grace with her first charm bracelet was probably more of a gift to me than her. I love that we now share charm bracelets and that each of our bracelets tells our individual story. So whether you’re starting a new tradition, continuing an old, or simply shopping for Mother’s Day, I highly recommend taking advantage of this incredible deal! A charm bracelet is such a sweet, timeless gift and will tell your story or your little’s for years and years to come!
