The perfect Dress to take you from pregnancy to post-pregnancy

At 34 weeks pregnant, there are really two things that I seem to be pulled to when shopping for clothes: comfort and pieces that can transition to post-baby. It’s still pretty hot here in Dallas and by “pretty hot” I mean over 100 degrees, so dresses are an easy go-to to keep cool. Isabella Oliver is a brand that I’ve worn throughout my entire pregnancy. What I liked about this breezy style as opposed to their bodycon dresses is that the high waist line and loose fit will be perfect for those couple of weeks right after you give birth where you don’t quite fit into maternity clothes and yet, you don’t quite fit into your pre-pregnancy clothes either.

The past couple of weeks I have been getting some inquires from you all asking that I start posting some “transition to fall” outfits, and one of the easiest ways for any woman to take her dress from summer to fall is simply by adding a lightweight jacket. The one in today’s post happens to be maternity, but I’ve linked non-maternity leather jackets at the end of the post for all you non-preggos. If you are pregnant, keep reading because this jacket is A-mazing. I wasn’t really planning on getting this jacket as it’s hard to think of fall in this crazy heat, but after trying it on, I was sold. It is so incredibly soft and my favorite thing? It can definitely transition to post-baby. It can be worn open while pregnant and then once baby #2 is born and my stomach is a little smaller I can zip-up the asymmetrical front zipper for a more tailored look.
