3 Ways to Dress for FALL in Warm Weather

With the first official day of Fall only days away, I am itching to trade in my summer sandals and shorts for boots and cozy sweaters! One problem…here in Dallas, TX, it’s still projected to be in the 90s for the next couple of weeks! Crazy, right?

I tried to wear leggings and a fall sweater yesterday in hopes it would bring the cooler weather, but it didn’t work. It did get me thinking though about how I could still dress for the weather (think short sleeves and bare legs), but just tweak my outfits to follow some of the Fall trends.

I started today’s outfit with a simple stripe dress. Stripes were trendy this summer and can be taken right on into Fall. The sleeveless cut of this dress will keep me cool when it’s 95 degrees outside, but it doesn’t scream “summer.”

I then picked 3 Fall trends that I could incorporate into the outfit:

1. fringe booties

2. floral scarf

3. wine colored fedora

I love that I can transition this exact outfit right into cold temps simply by trading out the sleeveless striped dress for a striped dress or jeans and a striped sweater!
