Why You Need to Wear a Peplum Top

Happy Monday, sweet friends! I pulled a total #mombrain move today right off the bat! I got both girls all ready for the pool – sunscreen and all. I pack our pool bag and loaded up the car – feeling good for a Monday morning! We drove to the pool and…it was closed. If you’re a mom, you know how much time and effort it takes to get your family out of the house. Yes, you can imagine how I was feeling when we pulled into the parking lot. That’s life though, right?

We ended up going to a nearby splash pad (I was determined to do a water activity), and then met some friends at Chick-fil-a for lunch. Not too shabby of a Monday!

Um…can we get an Amen for this adorable top though? Y’all, it’s only $40 and it is such a perfect summer top! I feel like I get stuck in these ruts with certain retailers and forget about other retailers I love. In this case, I haven’t shopped at Asos in forever, but recently found some real gems there! This top is one of those gems and I love that the price-point is so affordable! It’s also super flattering, which what woman doesn’t love that?

I think this top is flattering for two reasons – the v-neck cut, and the peplum shape. Do you own any peplum tops? I have a couple and always feel so confident in them. I highly recommend getting one and trying it out for yourself. The reason I think every woman needs one is because of the womanly silhouette it gives you. It instantly cinches your waist in creating negative space. At the same time, it flows out just above your hips giving your figure an hourglass shape. To accentuate your waist and figure, I highly recommend pairing tighter jeans or a pencil-type skirt with it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
