You guys! The high today in Dallas is in the 40s! Can you believe it? I sure can’t! It’s also raining, which means allI want to do is cuddle up in bed and snuggle my girls. But, duty calls and we have to get up and dressed for Monday. I will be wearing cozy layers though like this poncho scarf.
Jeans and a sweater is such a classic look for cooler weather, but there’s something equally classic about jeans and a scarf/cape. I found the poncho scarf (under $70) in today’s post from Madewell and loved the crips fall colors and the fringe detailing on the hem. The thing about a cape or a poncho scarf is that they’re so easy to style! You literally put minimal effort in – I mean you literally just throw it on. I kept it casual today by throwing my poncho scarf over jeans and a top, but you can pair it with a denim skirt or slacks for work. It’s so easy! Because they’re a bit bigger, too, you can layer it over a blouse or a chunkier knit sweater. You just kind of make it what you want it to be and I love that because it lets your personal style show.
