Happy Monday and happy Spring Break to all my Dallas babes! Spring is officially here and I am feeling all the Spring feels. For starters we sprang forward this weekend, which means more daylight. Praise the Lord. We were also graced with a 70+ degree day over the weekend and spent all of it outside. We hung outdoor lights over our fire pit and I cannot wait for endless summer nights outside with our neighbors. Lastly, I got to kick off our Spring events with two phenomenal gatherings this past week.
It seems that January and February always bring a much needed lull for everyone’s social schedules. But come March, things pick up and we are ready to celebrate anyone and everyone we know! From weddings to showers to backyard hangouts, Spring is definitely a busy season.
As I said before, my Spring calendar commenced last week with a baby shower for a dear friend and a 60th anniversary celebration for one of my favorite brands – Etienne Aigner.
Knowing I would have more than a few events this season, I searched for a dress that I could wear to as many events as possible. Each season I try to get one great quality, staple dress that will be my tried and true for events. You may end up spending a bit more up front, but it definitely pays off in the long run. I’ve used this method for several seasons now and it always seems worth it.
This Spring I wanted wanted my dress to be something that would not only make a statement, but would be something I was completely comfortable in. I mean, does anyone else hate wearing a dress they feel like they can’t eat or breathe in? Part of being comfortable for me, too, is not freezing. Haha. I knew I wanted a dress that fit with the unpredictable Spring weather, and still gave off Spring vibes.
While bag shopping in Anthropologie a couple of weeks ago (I got this bag and this one), I saw this dress and immediately picked it up. I loved the maxi length, the the high waist, the tortoise belt that shows off your waist, and the sleeve length. The dress is also double lined, so you don’t have to worry about it being see through. At just a little over $140, this dress is a bit more than I like to spend on a dress. However, knowing I will wear it to 5+ events that I already know about makes it so worth it. Because of the nature of this dress, too, it can be casual enough that you can dress down for date night or even happy hour with the girls to get even more wear out of it! I highly recommend this specific dress, but more than that, finding a dress that is versatile enough to wear to multiple events.

The first event I wore this dress to was the 60th anniversary celebration for Etienne Aigner and I got endless compliments! If you haven’t heard of Etienne Aigner before, I highly recommend you check them out. They are one of my favorite brands for bags and shoes and their Spring/Summer line this year is truly incredible. Also, for the entire month of March, Etienne Aigner will be donating 10% off all proceeds from EtienneAigner.com to Womankind in honor of International Women’s Day! How amazing is that?
