Happy Monday, loves! Are you as giddy as I am for this week? Even though we’re not traveling for the 4th of July, it’s still one of our favorite holidays to celebrate! The extrovert in me is geeking out that we’re going to get to be with family and our close friends doing all the things. Do you guys have 4th of July traditions?
Growing up I spent most 4th of Julys at my grandparents lake house. As of late, we’ve been watching the Kaboom Town fireworks on the 3rd and then laying by my in-laws pool on the 4th. We’re also planning on watching fireworks on the 4th with some friends. It’s gonna be blast! Time to start making our red, white and blue chocolate covered strawberries!
The other great thing about the 4th is that there are some crazy sales going on, and guess what? The denim skirt in today’s post is 20% off today! Madewell doesn’t put their new arrivals on sale very much, so I’d grab it while you can!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect denim skirt all summer if I’m being honest with you guys. I wanted one that was going to be super versatile and that didn’t have any rips. I think distressed denim skirts are cute, but I wanted one that I could dress up if I needed to. I found this one last week and thought I’d try it on. I think the button front is so fun and definitely on-trend. It has a bit of stretch in it too, so it’s incredibly comfortable. I also think it’s a great length – not too short, but not too “momish.”
I dressed it down with this great summer sweater (definitely size down) and some comfortable sandals. Slingback shoes are big right now, and these slingback sandals are a great staple! I love that this skirt works well with a casual top, a white tee, or a fun blouse with wedges for date night! I’m telling y’all, if you’re going to spend a little more on a piece, make sure you’ll get a lot of use out of it. Besides the multitude of summer outfit options, this skirt will be easy to take into Fall and wear with booties and a light sweater!
