Happy Wednesday, loves! Can you believe Valentine’s Day is only 2 weeks away? I’m super pumped because this year my Valentine’s Day will look a lot more like Galentine’s Day. In fact, I will actually get to celebrate two Galentine’s Days! I’m kicking off my Galentine celebrations a day early on February 13th, with a fun red and pink dinner for my girls. The red and pink dinner is a tradition my mom started when I was little and I’ve loved getting to do it for my girls. If you’re curious as to what it is, it’s so simple. Our entire dinner menu will consist of red and pink foods. We’ll eat on fancy china and I’ll gift both of my girls “sussies” aka little presents, that night, too!
Then, on the 14th I will wake up early and head to San Clemente, CA for an annual girls’ trip. I mean, can you imagine a better way to celebrate Galentine’s Day than drinking wine on the beach with your gal pals? I can’t. I truly feel like I’m getting the best of Valentine’s Day this year – celebrating my husband, my littlest galentines, and then treating myself with a girls’ trip. This year will be hard to beat!
If you’re new to this space, then you need to know that I am a big celebrator of holidays. I look forward to each and every holiday and prep for it way in advance. I think the preparation for a holiday is just as exciting as the holiday itself. I have had so much fun this year decorating for Valentine’s Day with my girls and picking up little presents for them along the way. We don’t give big presents on Valentine’s Day, but I love to have several little things for my girls to open. Think low cost, but big impact.
This year I got a lot of items from Jane.com. If you’re unfamiliar with Jane.com, it’s an online boutique marketplace for women’s fashion, kids’ clothing, and home decor. They even have stuff for men! The best part, too, is that they have the best deals. Everything is super affordable! Everything is really well made and I guarantee you, you’ll end up spending way more than you intended to, and I mean that in the best way possible.
This year I had every intention of only shopping for my girls on Jane.com, but I couldn’t help pampering myself a little bit, too. For the girls I got matching red heart shirts for them to wear to school. I’m giving it to them the night before, so they’ll be able to wear them on teh 14th. I also got them velvet scrunchies. I can’t believe scrunchies are back in style, but they are and they really do look so cute in my girls’ pony tails. Then I went a little crazy for myself with a Valentine’s shirt to wear on my flight to San Clemente, the cutest workout tank, and one of my favorite perfume scents. There’s truly something for everyone!
While the items I purchased are not in stock anymore, they still have some of the cutest items for Galentine’s Day. I’ve handpicked some of my favorite items for you below and think they would each make such a cute gift for a friend or for yourself!
