The best way to spend your day in Dallas? Getting pampered with your girl friends of course! Last week I got to hang up my mommy hat for a bit and enjoy a girls’ “daycation” downtown. We had such a blast that I wanted to share our day with you! We hope that our daycation inspires you to have one of your own! And, whether you live in Dallas or another city, we hope you’ll try out some of the places and brands we had the privilege of working with!

I started the day meeting up with three of my blogger babes – Yasmina, Amanda, and Erin. We decided to kick off our day getting our hair blown out at Dry Bar. I mean, who doesn’t like getting their hair washed and styled while drinking champagne? It was the perfect way to into our girls’ daycation.

Can we talk about how cute the back of this dress is? It’s from Mott50 and is also UPF50 proof. To me it’s the perfect pool accessory because this cute dress can double as a coverup. And the back is so dang fun!
Next we headed to the Adolphus Hotel and enjoyed time by the pool. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more conscious about protecting my skin. In addition to wearing one of my favorite brands of sunscreen – Supergoop, both my swimsuit and coverup dress were 50 UPF. I’m usually not a big jewelry person when poolside, but I couldn’t resist these fun earrings from Harper Hallam.

After some time in the sun, we changed and headed to lunch at City Hall Bistro. I wore this adorable gingham jumpsuit from Socialite Clothing. It’s one of those jumpsuits that you can dress up or down easily. It also acts like a neutral and is easy to layer under jackets or cardigans. Accessory-wise, I kept things simple with a couple beaded bracelets and a fun ring.

Then after a fabulous lunch, we headed back to the pool. Well, by “we” I mean the other 3 girls. I put my “mom hat” back on for a couple of hours and headed to pick up the girls and spend some time with them before meeting back up with the girls for dinner.
Dinner might have been my favorite part. We decided to explore a new area of town and headed to Deep Ellum for dinner on the rooftop deck of Harlowe MXM. Y’all, the weather was perfect and the food was even better! Typically when a bunch of bloggers get together, no one eats. Not the case this time! We devoured the food and the burger was our favorite!
All in all, the perfect day in Dallas for us consisted of a mix of pampering ourselves, relaxing, and good food! We hope our day inspires you to take a day off and either get to know your city better or come visit us in Dallas!
