bahadu hat: petal pink
This past week was one for the books! As you know we spent the week in Gulf Shores living our best life! Once breakfast was done we headed to the beach and didn’t come back up to the house until dinner time. It was such a good time!
My girls are at such a fun age right now – less keeping them alive (diapers, feeding, napping, etc.) and more playing! It was so fun this year to see their excitement as they built sand castles, collected shells, and jumped waves. They never seemed to tire of the sun and water and therefore, I didn’t either! With continued fun at the beach came a whole lot of sun exposure. In the past I would have relished all the sun exposure as an opportunity to get as tan as possible. This time however, I was more interested in protecting my skin and specifically my face.
Daily sunscreen was of course part of our routine, but my best ally against sun exposure was my hat. Although I did bring some really cute floppy hats on our trip, it was way too windy to wear any of them. Instead, I found myself reaching for my favorite Bahadu baseball hat day after day. Y’all know I love Bahadu hats for their classic design and the way they are made to fit a woman’s head, but this trip I found a new love for my hat.
I loved that I could wear a baseball hat all week long and still feel stylish, on-trend. I love that their basic colors, like my stone colored hat, go with literally anything. I could wear my hat working out in the morning and then wear it with my bathing suit during the day. Truthfully, I loved the peace of mind I got from wearing a hat. I suffer from pretty severe melasma and it was so nice to know that I could be outside all day, playing with my girls, and protecting my skin at the same time.
