Happy Monday, loves!! I hope your week is off to a great start! I either slept really well or inhaled one too many painting fumes last night because I woke up with a big smile and lots of energy! Let’s do this Monday!
I posted this look on instagram last night as a sneak peek and I had so many of you message me about this top! A lot of you already have it and love it just as much as I do! Did you know it also comes in a stripe version (check sizes here and here)? I wish I were ashamed to admit this, but I have the stripe version, too, and styled it here if you need some outfit inspo.
Y’all know my style is pretty feminine, so I’ve never really been a girl to wear button down tops. This one though? I can most definitely get on board. The loose-fit peplum cut is so flattering and I love that the peplum hem is hi-lo, so it covers your rear a bit. I also love the little ruffle details on the arms. Precious!
It’s already getting hot here in Dallas, so I’ll be wearing it with shorts most likely. My go-to place for shorts that are short yet appropriate for a mom is Madewell. These button fly shorts fit true to size and are such a great “wear all the time” pair for summer.
And of course a Spring or Summer look this year wouldn’t be complete without a straw bag. Have you caught on to the straw bags trend yet? Straw bags are everywhere in every shape and every size. Honestly, I have more than I care to admit. I love the big ones as your catch-all bag and they could even be used as a beach bag. It’s fun to have some smaller bags, crossybody bags and even a clutch. I’m more of a neutral gal, but the colored straw bags are pretty great too for making a statement.
