Do you guys love peplum tops as much as I do? I love that the cut instantly gives you a womanly figure. However, wearing a tight peplum top or dress can sometimes become uncomfortable. In fact, a peplum top that fits too tightly quickly becomes unflattering, too. And to be honest, a tight peplum top isn’t what I want to be wearing when it’s 100 degrees in Dallas.
Well, I recently went to Madewell for some good Spring and summer basics and came across this guy. If you missed that post, you can read it here – there are some really good pieces! But, this top. Of course the little ruffle sleeves and the light blushy color is what originally caught my eye. I instantly tried it on and couldn’t resist. It’s so thin (not see through) and flowy and the loose fit is exactly what this girl needs for a Texas summer. I love that it buttons all the way up, too, because that allows me to wear it to work in addition to play.
You may have seen this top on several other bloggers, too, and there’s a reason for that. This top fit every body so well. I’ve seen it on bloggers that are tall with long torsos, short bloggers, and people that are thin or thick. My stomach is always my “problem” area, so I like that the loose fit hides the area I’m most self conscious about.
As far as sizing goes, I’m wearing my normal size – small. I would say it definitely fits true to size (TTS). However, if you’re a bit bustier or want even more room, go up one size. This is a top that definitely won’t disappoint.
PS – if you love this top as much as I do, check out this sleeveless pink peplum top, too! It’s so precious!
