Okay, this trend makes me laugh and here’s why: when I was pregnant and would shoot maternity outfits with my photographer, Yesi, she would always ask me to put my and in my pocket or tuck a little piece of my shirt in. Well, if you have ever seen or worn maternity pants, then you know that the waist band comes all the way up to your bra. So, I’m not sure a front tuck would have been the most attractive in my maternity pants…

Honestly though, who knew that tucking your shirt in could be such a big trend. I mean, there are so many ways to tuck your shirt! The three biggest “tucking trends” are the side t-shirt tuck, the half tuck (best done with a button down top), and tucking your shirt all the way around. Who What Wear gives a great tutorial on how to achieve each look with this tutorial and I highly recommend checking it out!

Today’s post showcases the side t-shirt tuck, which is great to slim your figure and hide those areas that may not be your favorite. For me, I am still losing some baby weight, so I am all for hiding my hips and this style allows the t-shirt to lay flat on my hips. I also want to give the illusion of a flatter stomach, and doing a partial tuck does just that!

If you’re looking for a couple more ways to tuck your shirt, this article from Huffpost Style gives you video tutorials on 6 different ways to tuck your shirt in!
