Happy Monday and Happy Halloween!!! I’m sure many of you celebrated over the weekend and many more of you will be celebrating tonight! Just like last year, we will be heading to our best friends’ house to trick-or-treat with Emma Grace’s BFF, Charlee Kate, and to celebrate my friend Andi’s birthday! Emma Grace is Princess Sofia this year and Abby is going to be a Bee {we’ve had a lot of fun calling her A-bee this week;)}.

We welcome you to join us today on snapchat (fleurdille) and on my instastories and if you can’t catch us then, we’ll be posting pictures on my facebook page later this evening!!

On the note of Halloween, are any of you experiencing these record high temperatures today? I know it’s always warmer in Dallas, but our high today is 87 degrees and that’s just crazy!! Knowing it is going to be quite warm for awhile here in Texas, I started thinking about the best ways to dress for Fall in warm weather and created a list of 6 ways to dress to Fall in warm weather. So, scroll down and take a look at my list and let me know which way is your favorite!

ps – Did you catch last week’s most popular post? I styled the most adorable joggers from Anthropologie! You can read the full post here.

7 Ways to Dress for Fall in Warm Weather:

  1. WEAR A SCARF – throwing a big scarf is one of my favorite ways to dress for a warm Fall. It gives you the freedom to be cool during the day, but have the extra coverage in the evening to keep you warm! The one from today is a great option if you’re looking for one – it’s super soft, is on trend with blush tones and fringe, and you can style it multiple ways!
  2. LIGHT LAYERS – instead of layering with a winter coat, think light layers – thin cardigans, a lightweight jacket, or even a leather jacket.
  3. OVER THE KNEE BOOTS W/ SUMMER DRESSES – often times we all have a couple of dresses from our summer wardrobe that can easily transition into Fall trends, and if you live somewhere warm like me then pair that dress with some over-the-knee boots and you’re ready for the season!
  4. THIN SWEATERS & SKIRTS – if it’s too warm to wear jeans, then opt for a cute skirt like this one from LOFT and pair it with a thin sweater.
  5. BLAZER WITH SHORTS – Blazers are always on trend, so instead of pairing them with pants or jeans, pair them with some shorts and pumps or booties!
  6. SPORT A VEST – add a vest to your fall ensemble instead of a jacket!
  7. ADD A HAT – like a scarf, adding a hat such as this fedora from Nordstrom will give your outfit instant Fall appeal!

The benefits of this gala will go to Cherish Uganda, an organization that provides care, house, and education to children in Uganda who were born with AIDS. My sweet friend, Chandler, of The H is For blog is on the chair committee for this Gala and would love for you to attend! Guests are encouraged to wear read and I’ve created a list of my favorites for you to shop below. You can read more about the event and purchase tickets here.
