Let’s talk style for a second…if you’ve noticed a slight shift in my color scheme, then you’re not only observant, but you’re correct! While my everyday feminine style remains intact, I have begun to gravitate toward neutral colors – think white, nude, blush, etc. Yes, I’m sure part of that is due to the excitement of Spring and Summer being just around the corner, but I’ve always been wanting to refine my wardrobe for quick some time.
While, I have always aspired to have a cleaner wardrobe, I’ve been somewhat hesitant to execute on my desire. For the longest time I thought I needed to wear everything that was on trend no matter the color. I’ve slowly realized that is just not the case. To be the truest version of me, my personal style needs to be uniquely me in everything that I do from my clothes to the words that come out of my mouth to the way I treat others. All this to say, you will probably keep seeing light, airy colors incorporated into my feminine style, but I will try and find colorful alternatives for you to shop along the way!
Now, onto today’s outfit…weather has been crazy all over the country! My friends and family in Chicago complain of freezing temps one day and then boast of sunny and 68 the next while us Texans fluctuate from 40 degree mornings to 75 degree afternoons. Crazy!
My favorite way to navigate through this fluctuating weather is to layer! Adding a cardigan is the absolute easiest way to be prepared for any temperature and still look put together. I love that I can wear a sweater or cardigan in the morning when I leave for work, shed it during the afternoon, and then throw it back on when my hubby and I are eating dinner.
I especially love this cardigan sweater I found from LOFT because it is SO soft!! It’s also pretty thick so if you live somewhere colder than Texas, this would be ideal for your wardrobe. The other good thing about this sweater? LOFT always has a sale going on, so you can most likely get it at an affordable price!
