Minimalist fashion is something I’ve been gravitating toward over the years. One of the main reason I resonate with minimalist clothing is that your outfits become very versatile. I’ve found that If I’m wearing a basic top, it’s so much easier to create multiple outfits with as opposed to a bright, bold top.
Creating fun outfits still seems so foreign to me though. I mean, it’s probably safe to say that I lived in workout clothing for most of 2020. With the prospect of a COVID vaccine though, I am hopeful I will get to wear “real clothes” in 2021. So, in anticipation of some fun new outfits, I created 3 simple outfits you can purchase or recreate from your own wardrobe. Each piece can be worn several ways and with other pieces you already have in your closet!
Minimalist Fashion: 3 Outfits You can Easily Create:
Monochromatic Neutrals –
Oh man, winter white is my jam and such an easy look to create! I love these wide leg sailor pants because the button detail is so fun! I paired it with a feminine white top and some heels to elongate my legs.
An easy tip when creating a monochromatic look – pair different textures and fabrics together. It will give your outfit more character.
Faux leather & Light Wash Jeans –
This faux leather top is so fun for winter! There are so many outfit possibilities with it too! I paired it with light wash denim (a current denim trend) and some sassy boots! I think it would look super cute paired with a midi skirt or even some faux leather leggings and sassy boots!
Neutral Top & Wide Leg Denim –
This may be my favorite look. Wide leg denim is definitely a big denim trend right now and I am here for it. A couple of tips when wearing wide leg denim – wear heels and a form-fitting top. Wearing heels with elongate your figure; an important tip if you’re short like me. Pairing your wide leg denim with a form-fitting top will show off your figure and keep you from your clothes overwhelming your figure.
