I just finished reading The Choice and I was blown away. It’s truly an amazing story about taking charge of your life and choosing how you look at life and your circumstances.
We’ve all had mom fails, but mine this week might take the cake. Earlier this week I bought some vitamins for my girls and gave one to Abby right before tumbling class. After Abby ate her gummy vitamin, I was looking at the bottle admiring the new flavor. And that’s when I noticed my mistake…I gave her melatonin, not a vitamin! Eek! She proceeded to fall asleep in the car on the way to tumbling, but somehow pulled off a great practice. Right after practice though, she told me her legs felt “so tired” and she spent the rest of the night laying on the couch. She also asked for an early bedtime and went to bed at 7 instead of 8. Lordy, lordy! Moral of the story – read labels and don’t give your kids melatonin before physical activity.
I have been devouring audio books lately and just started The 5 AM Club. The format of the book is a business fable and y’all, I hate it. I am excited to get to the meat of the story, but I’ve determined that I just don’t like business fables. Just give me the good stuff, ya know?!
