Lou Lou & Company Bows

It’s definitely safe to say that Mondays and Fridays are my absolute favorite days of the week. Tuesday – Thursday I work part-time as a speech pathologist while my girls go to Montessori school, but Mondays and Fridays we stay home and play together – just us girls!

I try my hardest to have all of my work and blogging complete and out of the way so that all I have to do on my days at home is soak up all the little moments with my girls – the hard moments and the precious ones.

While we would prefer to spend most of our time outside, the cooler weather has kept us indoors and kept me on my toes trying to find fun activities to pass the time. One of our very favorite things to do though is read! Emma Grace is just now starting to learn her letters, the sounds associated with each letter, and I swear she’s trying to memorize all of her books, haha.

I used to keep my reading time with Emma Grace separate from my time with Abby, and then it dawned on me: letting Abby hear Emma and I read together is perfect for her language development and is fun bonding time with her big sissy. So, at least once a day, you’ll find all three of us cuddled up in Emma Grace’s reading nook, reading away.

Now, just as my girls are in different stages as far as reading goes, they are very much in different stages as far as bows go. Abby is currently in the “I have to wear a bow so that people know I’m a girl” stage, and Emma is in the “I have to wear a bow so that my hair doesn’t become a catch all for food, boogies, and who knows what else” stage. If you’re a mom of a girl, then you know exactly how these stages go.

Anyway, we recently were introduced to Lou Lou & Company, a company that makes baby products from blankets to dolly swaddles, to the sweetest bows and headbands. Now, for me, hair accessories have to pass two tests – one for each girl. Abby’s must be soft because it makes me so sad when headbands leave little marks on her head, and Emma’s bow has to be tight enough that it actually stays in – Emma’s hair is so fine that bows are constantly slipping out. Well, good news ladies: these bows passed both tests! And I think you can tell how much we love these bows because they’re in almost all of my instagram pictures of the girls. 🙂
