Hi, friends! I hope you’re having a good week so far! I loved getting to chat with you guys yesterday about my new Kopari Coconut Oil Deodorant. I’m equally excited today to get to chat about a new trend for fall – wide leg pants. I have been busy planning all sorts of fun content for October using my new Erin Condren planner. In may I posted about how to wear wide leg pants if you’re short, but today I thought it would be beneficial to give you guys some tips on how to style wide leg pants to flatter your body. I love the unique look of wide leg pants, but they really aren’t the easiest trend to pull off if you’re under 5’10.” Below are some guidelines I follow when styling wide leg pants.
Tips for Styling Wide Leg Pants:
- wear pumps – wear something with a heel when wearing wide leg pants and especially if you’re wearing wide leg crop pants. Wearing heels is the oldest trick in the book for elongating your figure.
- monochromatic – wearing all of the same color is another way to give the illusion that you are taller than you may be. So, opt for a top and pants in the same color family.
- don’t start with crop – if you are very nervous about wearing wide leg pants, I would say to start with wide leg jeans first before trying to style cropped pants. Look for a boot cut jean or flare denim. Get used to styling wide leg pants and then give cropped pants a go with some tips from above.
- tuck it in – tucking in your shirt whether it’s a front tuck or a full on tuck has been a trend for awhile now. And, there is something to this trend. Tucking in your top accentuates your waist and shows off your figure. It also helps you look slimmer and breaks up a loose top and loose pants.
