Let me give you a hint…it will take you back to days of walking the mall with your girl friends, of grabbing a cinnabon on your shopping trip, and more. If you can’t quite figure it out, let me give you one more clue – you’ll know this store simply by the strong cologne smell! Yep, you guessed it – Abercrombie!
Back in the day…the high school days…Abercrombie was all the rage. As I matured though, so did my style in clothing. Then over the past couple of years Abercrombie has rebranded and y’all, they have some really cute things now! And the best part is they’ve kept their affordable prices!
A couple of weeks ago I was sale shopping and came across this sweatshirt. I’m always looking for new sweaters to wear as I lounge around the house and instantly loved this one. It’s super soft on the inside and has the neatest back detail! I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, but sweaters with back detailing – buttons, open backs, twist backs, etc., are majorly trending! They’re not always the easiest to style though. So, I thought I’d share with you today my tips on how to style sweaters with back detailing.

So I’ve found that there are two main tips on how to style sweaters with back detailing. For me, the first and most important one is to ensure I can wear a regular bra. This mama has some tatas and unfortunately, or fortunately, I have to wear a bra with my tops. So, my first tip is to try it on with my bra to see if it shows. I will say that if it seems like your bra is going to show a bit, opt for a lace bralette to make more of a statement.
My second tip is to keep the rest of your outfit simple. If you have fun back detailing – buttons or a twist, let the back of you sweater do all the talking. Pick pants that are neutral in color or opt for jeans. Style with neutral sneakers or booties, and minimal jewelry. Keep the focus on the top. Back detailing is unusual, so people will notice!
