Sequins and a little black dress, is there a more killer combo for a holiday look? When I’m purchasing a new LBD, I want it to have it’s own personality. Something that sets it out from all the other little black dresses out there, but still speaks to my style.
I was recently introduced to the label, Corey, and have fall in love. The designer behind Corey focuses on giving classic silhouettes a little San Francisco opera flare like the sequin “bandana” on this dress. I also love the swing cut of this dress – after all, I’m still losing baby weight so a little extra fabric only works in my favor. 🙂
If you like finding out about neat designers like this, then I highly recommend you check out my favorite Dallas boutique: Shop September (there’s an online store, too). The owner does a fantastic job at hand picking the labels they sell and always works to get fashion forward brands with a unique twist – something that sets them apart from what you might see at a department store. It’s comforting to know that you’ll be the only one wearing your dress when you walk into a party.
The other thing I love about Shop September is that the store is divided into two sections, “the showroom” and “the street.” The former being your more expensive labels and the latter carrying pieces $100 or less, and both sides equally amazing!
