Hi-Lo Silk Top & Culottes

Happy Monday, loves! Today is an especially fun Monday over here at the Cobbs house because it’s a bank holiday which means Trav is home with us today! We don’t have anything super exciting planned, but are just excited to have another day at home with daddy. Anyone else have the day off? Are you doing anything fun?

Today’s outfit was inspired by this neutral hi-lo top. It’s from Marie Oliver and is a great neutral top to have for Fall and Winter layering. I had a bit of fun pairing it with culottes and ruffle heels for today’s look, but think this top would look amazing with skinny jeans, black OTK boots, and a black leather jacket. What’s nice about a top like this is that you can create a lot of different outfit options with it.

Investing in  the staples in your closet is one of the smartest things you can do clothing-wise. Buy quality pieces that will last you through several seasons and for several years. Some of my staples are a neutral top, a good pair of jeans, a leather jacket, and nude heels. This type of item is worth spending a little extra money on because you know you’ll get a lot of wear out of it.

One of the reasons I love and really gravitate toward clothing from Marie Oliver is that the clothing is extremely versatile. You may be paying a little more upfront, but these are items that are well-made and will late for years! You can see how I styled another one of their tops here.
