Isn’t today’s outfit fun? I love when mixing and matching different trends just works. Metallic shoes – namely silver, are big again this Spring and flare sleeves harken back to the 70s, which is another trend we’re seeing this season. And the skirt…let’s talk skirts for a moment. It’s like I turned 30 and had a kid or two and all of the sudden I’m in this weird limbo world of what type of skirts are appropriate and which aren’t. I feel like every time I try on a skirt I either think “oh, that’s too short” or “well, this looks like I’m still in college,” or “I look like I’m headed to my corporate desk job.” I mean, since when did it become so hard to find a happy medium – a trendy skirt that’s also “mom appropriate?”
When I found this skirt (at Target I might add), I felt like I hit the jackpot. It’s the perfect length, super slimming, on trend with the buttons down the front, and under $20! Speaking of good deals, have you heard of the Who What Wear line at Target?
The Who What Wear collaboration with Target released a couple of months ago and it hasn’t ceased to amaze me yet. The goal behind their line is to provide women (and plus size women) with “effortlessly chic” clothing at an affordable price, and let me tell you, they’ve nailed it. It’s nice to know you can find on-trend pieces that are well-made and a reasonable price. You can shop some of my favorite below.
