Happy weekend, babes! Although we’re headed toward no cell-service, it’s hard to forget that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is right around the corner. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of my favorite sales of the year and one of my favorite times to stock up on some Fall staples. It’s also one of the most massive sales and it’s easy to spend money on items you don’t actually need. For the past several years I’ve purchased a lot up front and then ended up returning most of it. I am going to resist the urge to impulse buy!
Rather, this year I plan on focusing on getting and sharing with you guys staple pieces that will take you from not into the Fall and Winter. If I’m being honest, my most worn pieces from the past few Anniversary Sales have been booties for fall and workout clothes. I also get a bag or tote each year as they’re on major discount.
what is the nordstrom anniversary sale?
For a set amount of days, hundreds and hundreds of items – clothes, shoes, beauty, accessories, home goods, you name it! – go on major sale! It’s one of the best times to stock up on designer items you’ve been eyeing or grab some staples for the Fall!
when is the sale?
It’s right around the corner! I’ve outlined the different dates below to reflect when you can shop. I’ve learned over the years that the good stuff goes quick and goes first, so pay attention to the dates!
- JULY 11TH @ 12:30 EST – early access begins online for Level Icon & Ambassador cardholders
- JULY 12TH @ 12:30 EST – early access begins online for all other cardholders
- JULY 18TH: last day of early access
- JULY 19TH: public access begins
- AUGUST 4TH: last day of the #Nsale
how do I shop the sale?
For starters, the best piece of advice I can give to shop the sale is to shop it first. The best items will go fast and will go first. It’s true that some items will be restocked once public access begins, but a lot of things won’t. So, if there’s something you’re dying to have you’ll need to shop early access.
In order to get early access, you have to be a Nordstrom card holder. I try not to have too many credit cards, but the Nordstrom card has some major benefits apart from early access to the sale. When you spend with a Nordstrom card you get 2 points for every $1 you spend at Nordstrom. As you spend, you begin to accumulate points and you’ll start receiving Nordstrom Notes (rewards/money back to spend at Nordstrom). It feels like free money!
In fact, if you sign up for a Nordstrom card before the sale and get approved before July 10th, you’ll automatically receive a $60 Nordstrom note. Wohoo! If you’re forgetful like me though, don’t worry! You can sign up for a card on the day of the sale – I did it several years ago!
