B&W Tassel Dress

This dress. I’m obsessed. I had been eyeing it for a couple of weeks and then finally decided to snag it during the SHOPBOP sale a couple of weeks ago when it was 25% off. What can I say, I’m a sale shopper.

There is so much I love about this dress that I’m not even sure where to begin. For starters, I love the simple neckline and I love that it doesn’t show cleavage (a sometimes important quality when you’re a mom). I like that the bottom of the dress is layered with tassels – a simple, yet trendy detail. I like the black and white pattern that gives a different take on B&W stripes. And, I love that this dress can be worn in more than one setting.

Already, I’ve worn this dress to a birthday party, to a shower, and for a day date. It’s comfortable times a million and can be paired with simple accessories (as pictured) or with colorful accessories like these stacked orange heel sandals from LOFT or this raffia clutch from Nordstrom for a louder statement.

The final reason I love this dress is that it spans the decades. Although I’m in my 30s (30 to be exact), my sister is in her young twenties and could wear it to a day party, it could easily be worn in your 40s, and just last week a woman in her 50s asked where my dress was from and said she was a going to buy it to take on her beach vacation with her husband this summer. Love that!
