Maxi dresses are a long-time favorite of mine for warmer days. I loved this maxi dress the second I saw it. The vertical stripes are perfect for elongating a shorter figure, the thin belt accentuates your waist, and the higher neck-line makes this dress appropriate for work, hanging out with friends, or a date! I paired it with very simple jewelry and shoes so that I could add a pop of color in different forms to change the look of the dress – that’s the beauty of wearing black and white! In this post I paired it with a neon vest, but you could add a bright clutch, a colorful purse, or a colorful statement necklace too.

Next, I added a neon vest to change up the look a bit. Jean vests are very in right now, but I love the idea of using the vest trend to add your pop of color. I also like how transitional this vest is with the black lining – it can easily be carried into the fall with some dark jeans or black leggings, booties, and a sheer top.
