Bourbon Slush? Yes, please. This recipe is on constant repeat for any social or family gathering we have during the summer. My mom first introduced us to this recipe a couple years ago and after one sip, we were hooked. It is such a refreshing, cool drink to have poolside or while grilling out. And don’t let the whiskey part scare you away if you don’t typically drink bourbon because the lemonade and orange juice in the mixture make it oh, so tasty! We made these slushes for our Father’s Day celebration last weekend and hope you’ll try them sometime soon!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar
6 cups water
6 oz frozen orange juice
9 oz frozen lemonade
2 cups hot tea (2 bags, family size; one in each cup of hot water)
1.5 cups bourbon
DIRECTIONS: Mix all of the ingredients together; add the bourbon last. Place in the freezer & stir occasionally. I usually make the recipe 24 hours before serving it. Enjoy!
