when should you splurge on nice jeans

Hi, babes! You budget-friendly, sale-shopping blogger is here today to chat about when you should splurge on denim. Madewell jeans are some of my favorite jeans to wear – they fit incredibly well and end up being around $100 when you bring in an old pair of jeans to get $20 off. I also really like the Rockstar jeans from Old Navy that are under $50!

But when do you know when to splurge on jeans? The answer is simple – when you know you’ll wear them. Splurge when you know you’ll wear the jeans all the time. Splurge when you know you’ll get your money’s worth. Don’t impulse buy expensive jeans. Meditate on it for a bit and really think through your purchase.

For example, when it comes to my summer wardrobe I mostly wear sundresses and cutoff denim shorts. For the past few summers that’s all I’ve worn. Last year I had several jean shorts I loved, but always had my eyes on Agolde jean shorts. I didn’t pull the trigger last summer though.

Then when I saw the Agolde shorts pictured below and tried them on it was a done deal. I’ve thought about these dang shorts for almost a year, I had the money in my budget, and I know I will wear them constantly. I did the same things with the Agolde jeans in this post. I love the way these jeans fit, I love the wash for spring and summer, and I know I’ll be able to style multiple outfits from them. They’re a great everyday pair of denim I can easily take from day to night.
