When you’re picturing the perfect 4th of July celebration, I bet it includes a beach or lake, sunscreen, cold beverages, hot dogs, maybe a new patriotic swim suit, and something casual yet cute to wear in the evening as you watch fireworks with your friends and family. With my first pregnancy I wore a cute short outfit as we celebrated poolside with our family. However, we are leaving Dallas and heading to the beach this year and so I’m looking for something that can transition from a day at the beach to an evening of celebration.
I came across this cabana dress from LOFT a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t help but think it would be perfect for our Independence Day celebration! It’s not maternity (yay for all of you that are not pregnant!), and you can use the tie to either accentuate you waist or show of your baby bump. I like that it’s soft and breezy and I can easily wear it as a swim suit coverup without the tie and then transition it into the evening by tying it above the waist for a more sophisticated look.
