Happy Monday, friends! I hope you’re having a good day so far! It finally feels like fall in Dallas! And by fall, I mean it’s in the low and mid 80s. I’ll take it though because it means I get to wear my booties and sweaters without sweating.

I love today’s look because it exemplifies 3 of my favorite fall wardrobe staples – sweaters, leggings, and booties! When in doubt, throw on a sweater over some leggings and you’ll have a perfectly styled fall outfit. This sweater from LOFT is a new favorite. I love the peplum hem and the contrast between the two fabrics. I love it over leggings, but plan on wearing it with jeans this week!

Let’s talk about the real hero of today’s look though – these faux leather leggings. So I’ve been hearing people rave about these Spanx leggings for almost a year now and I’m sure you have too. I have always loved the look of them, but didn’t think they were worth spending almost $100 on.

Well, during this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I got them at a discount to see what all the hype was about. Oh man guys, after putting them on one time my life was changed. They are worth every single penny and some. They are thick enough that they don’t show your panty line, and stretchy enough to move as you move. But the best part? The slimming factor. The waistband is wide and high and it sucks you – all of you – in.

I honestly worried a bit that they would be so tight they would be uncomfortable or squeeze my stomach fat. Not so. They are actually incredibly comfortable and they lay perfectly flat on your stomach. They really do suck you in and make your stomach deceptively flat. Like, bye bye mom pooch.
