How to Style Denim Overalls as an Adult

Make a statement this Fall with denim overalls. Add some pumps and a lace top for a chic look!

Happy Thursday, friends! Surprised to see denim overalls on the blog today? I do have to admit that I scored some white denim overalls about a year ago. However, I didn’t think I’d be able to style dark denim overalls to fit my personal style. For some reason I just picture someone more hip than myself pulling these guys off.

After giving it a whirl though, I realized that there really are so many different options to style overalls and give them more of an adult, polished vibe. For today’s look I layered a white lace top underneath and some white pumps to give me height. I love that adding lace adds just the perfect amount of femininity.

Don’t get stuck on the visual of denim overalls with a tee though, there are so many other ways you can style them! I think they would look adorable with an off the shoulder top if you still have warm weather like we do here in Dallas. It would also look so cute with a thin sweater with ruffle sleeves. And, for a more refined look, layer your overalls over a collard shirt with some structured mules.
