Happy September! September is one of my favorite months of the year for so many reasons. September is the month that temperatures start to drop, layers are re-introduced into wardrobes, and at our house we start decorating for Fall! I love creating capsule wardrobes for September too because the outfit options are endless. With cooler nights and warmer days you can combine almost anything together – shorts and a sweater, jeans and a tee, a dress with booties, or a dress with sandals! Anything and everything goes!
As I put together this month’s capsule, I really kept a couple of things at the forefront of my mind. First, I wanted to include bottoms that you could style for work or play. I also wanted the bottoms I selected to be able to be worn for more than one month and more than one year. So, I selected pieces like this slip skirt and a quality (but affordable) pair of black jeans.
The other things I kept in mind was layering. I wanted to make sure I included pieces that were easy to layer with. So, I included multiple bodysuits in this capsule. I included a one shoulder bodysuit that’s a bit sexier, a feminine bodysuit, and ones like this one that are more basic and layer well. I also think bodysuits on their own can be pretty sexy because they show off your figure!
