Good morning! There’s typically a Tiny Tuesday post today, but our week is just slightly off due to traveling. We had the opportunity to travel with our little family up north this past weekend. My husband and I dropped our girls off with my parents in Chicago and spent the first half of the weekend alone celebrating our anniversary at my parents’ lake house in Wisconsin. Then, my parents and our girls joined us for the second half of the weekend. It was so, so nice to get away for a bit, but a late night Monday flight has really thrown us all off!

Anyway, today’s post features this relaxed peplum top (less than $13!) and is all about adapting your personal style to every area of your wardrobe. For me, I would say my personal style is “everyday feminine” clothing and I tend to gravitate toward fresh colors – whites, neutrals, blushes, and pinks. Adding a touch of femininity comes easy when I’m wearing a dress on a date or wearing heels and a top for a night out with girls, but it seems to get tricky when I’m dressing for comfort and ease for the days with my girls.

I’ve found that the easiest way to add a touch of your personal style to your outfit of the day is two-fold. First, know what pieces you want to wear and secondly, look to the details of your outfit to add a touch of your personal style. For example, when I’m with my girls I know that I want to be wearing pants and a comfortable tee so that I can move easily. So for my second step – adding a feminine touch to my outfit – I opt for a tee like today’s that has a loose peplum cut instead of a plain v-neck. Still comfortable, but still true to my personal style.

style tip: you can also look to your accessories to help add a personal touch – your shoes, your bag, how you wear your hair, etc.

Thanks for reading!!
