Happy Thursday, friends! Spring is [almost] in the air!! Can you feel it? Oh, you can’t? Well, if you lived in Dallas you probably could because it got up to 76 degrees just a couple of days ago! Crazy!! With temperatures creeping up already, I’ve started thinking about getting some dresses that I can wear to events like weddings and showers.
I typically invest in a couple dresses and then rotate what event – baby shower, wedding shower, wedding guest, etc., I wear them to based on what people I have been around and who’s seen the dress. It’s a great way to save money and still look on trend! I snagged this dress from Anthropologie a couple of weeks ago and already have two events I’m wearing it to before March hits!
I love this dress for so many reasons. The obvious ones are the color and the lace – hello femininity! But, the bonus with this dress is how flatter it is for any and every body type. It’s semi-form fitting on the bodice to give you a little figure, and then flares out with the please. The lace overlay has a slight hi-lo trim, which helps to accentuate your midsection in the best way possible! This dress also has great movement and just makes you want to dance!
While we’re on the subject of investing in dresses you can wear to weddings and/or showers, I think investing in a couple neutral clutches – black or white, is key. Having some basic clutches that can be worn with any outfit will end up saving you money in the long run. I got mine from Gigi New York and love the embossed leather and cute little tassel.
