It’s crazy that we’re about to enter into the holiday season, but it’s true! So many things seem to run through my head as Fall and Winter approach – when should I start decorating for Thanksgiving…is September 1 too soon? When should I start buying Christmas gifts for everyone? And of course what will I wear to all of our holiday events?
I think holiday events are such a great excuse to splurge a little on a new dress, but if I bought a dress for every event, I’d probably be broke! So, over the past couple of years I’ve learned to buy one or two staple dresses that can be worn at multiple events throughout the season. For example, this year I already know we’ll have a rehearsal dinner in October to attend, a holiday work party, and the annual SMU alumni ball. Since they’re all completely different circles of friends, I know I can get away with wearing a bold dress like the one in this post at each event.
What I love about this dress is that it is trendy – think lace, cut out pattern, midi/maxi length, the color fits perfectly into my personal style, and it’s sexy while still being appropriate and not showing too much skin or cleavage. If you’re not a pink person, this dress also comes in red, which is even more festive for the holiday season!
