Hey, friends! Happy Monday and happy anniversary to my sweet husband. It feels crazy to say that we’ve already been married for 7 years. At church yesterday we were asked what 3 events and which 3 people have influenced who we are the most. It’s such a big question to tease out! But, I love that without a doubt, I can say that Travis has been one of the biggest influences on my life. It feels crazy to say that because I’ve only known him a third of my life, but he really does sharpen me every day.
I won’t go into detail here, but want to take a tiny moment to brag on him. He is my biggest fan and supporter in everything I do. He makes me laugh, smile, and even “happy cry” as EG and I call it. He has taught me patience and is constantly pushing me outside my comfort zone. He is a learner, avid reader, and is always bettering himself and encouraging me to do the same. So, here’s to my hubs today and the little family we’ve built! So glad God put him in my life.

And what does today’s outfit have to do withy my anniversary? A lot, actually! A couple of weeks ago Travis and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by going to Marfa, TX. Neither of us have been, but it’s high on our list of local places to visit. So, in April we will be dropping the girls off with my in-laws and road tripping to Marfa. We are beyond jazzed. I honestly think I am just as excited to plan outfits and photo ops as actually going to Marfa. Shhh…don’t tell Trav that. The one thing I know I am taking with my are these overalls. They will make for a perfect, easy travel look.
Marfa is about an 8ish hour drive from Dallas so I wanted something that was comfortable, but still on-trend. I am obsessed with overalls right now, so I debated brining my favorite overalls from Madewell. But, they may be a bit too hot for West Texas. Then I found this pair from Free People and about died. Y’all, Free People has been killing it lately and they just nailed it with these overalls. They are so perfect for spring and summer and the frayed hem is so fun. They are a bit on the shorter side, but I figured they’d be perfect for a road trip with the hubs. Overalls are so dang easy to wear and can be styled over any top making them even easier to wear.
I styled them here with a feminine blouse and some of my favorite flats from Everlane. But for our Marfa trip I’ve been looking for the perfect little crop top or boho top to wear underneath. If you have suggestions, send them my way!
