The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Summer and Fall Trends

pink ruffle blouse

Hey guys! Can you believe the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is less than 24 hours away? It kind of feels like Christmas. I’ve gotten to see a sneak peek of some of the items that will be pat of the sale and y’all, it’s so good! I posted last week on the best way to shop the sale so if you missed it, be sure to check it out here. And if you want a sneak peek at some of the items check out the women’s catalog and men’s catalog!

Alright y’all, let’s talk sale strategy. The sale is massive. If you haven’t shopped it before, get ready because there will be a ton of items on major sale in all the big categories – men, women, kids, accessories, designer, home, and shoes. It can feel overwhelming at times, so I would recommend two things:

  1. KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO BUY: this is so key! I love using this sale to not only finish up my Summer wardrobe, but start my Fall wardrobe and get those Fall staples like over the knee boots that I don’t want to pay full price for. Knowing what is in right now and what will be on trend in the Fall is helpful for this, so scroll down and take note of the biggest Summer and Fall trends.
  2. SHOP IT IN PERSON & ONLINE: I learned this one last year and it’s a good one. I love seeing and trying things on in person, but the website will carry a lot more items than they can hold in the store, so be sure to shop it both ways.

NSALE MYTH DEBUNKED: So word on the street lately has been that July 9th was the last day to get a Nordstrom Card and guess what? It’s not true! It’s just a myth! You can actually get one any day at any time. This makes more sense because I remember two years ago when I went to the #nsale I didn’t have a Nordstrom Card yet, so I applied for one in the store in order to access the sale.

I look to Elle Magazine for big trends…

Now for today’s look. I love, love, love this top. It’s so breezy and bright and perfect for a summer statement. Although I think this top would look great paired with skinny jeans – my usual go-to, I had a little fun today and paired it with some acid wash denim. I am a firm believer in having a dark, light and white pair of staple denim, but it’s fun to have some playful pairs as well. This pair is only $56 so it wasn’t hard to justify grabbing a pair that was more for fun and play. I love the contrast these jeans make with this top and the way it makes this blouse just pop!

STYLE TIP: top runs big, so size down one and denim fits true to size
