There are multiple items I consider “staples” for fall and winter wardrobes. Items like a good pair of jeans, a leather jacket, and a black blazer are classic pieces that sustain the spans of time. But, there is one accessory that I consider to be a must-have accessory for fall wardrobes – a statement booty.
Now, hear me out. Statement pumps are great, but a statement booty has even more potential. I found this Schutz snakeskin booty from Clotheshorse Anonymous this month and have already created several outfits with it. The snakeskin print can make multiple types of statements. Edgy –

Dress your booties up with a cocktail dress for your next holiday event. Or, style them with a midi skirt and blouse.
Classic –
Stick to a classic look by pairing your statement booties with tailored cut jeans (skinny or straight) and a plain colored blouse. Or wear them with a white tee and A-line skirt or midi skirt.
Casual –
Keep it casual and pair your statement booties with some leggings or jeans and an oversized sweater.
You Don’t Have to Exceed Your Budget to Make a Statement:
Each season new trends come, but staples last through the years. I’ve been trying to add staples to my wardrobe that are quality pieces. Pieces like designer jeans or a designer bag. This year I am looking to give my shoe closet a little upgrade by investing in quality boots and booties that will last multiple years. However, I can’t bring myself to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on one pair of shoes, which is why I frequent my favorite consignment stores.
Just several weeks ago, while I was in Clotheshorse Anonymous, I found I spotted the Schutz snakeskin booties in my size and about died. I splurged on another pair of Schutz boots last year and was amazed by the quality and comfort of them. So, when I found this snakeskin pair for under $100, I snagged them. I also stumbled upon a leather jacket from Theory and jumped on that as well as my current one is cheap and ripping.
All this to say, it’s so easy to invest in quality pieces and accessories for your wardrobe without overspending. I’m dead serious that a good consignment store is the way to go. I mean, the snakeskin booties I found had never even been worn! The key to finding the right pieces is to go often, take your time, and know what you’re looking for!
