Although I am most definitely a dress girl, I’ve been trying to up my casual looks a tad. Frankly, at this stage in my life with a toddler and a baby, there are just days that call for shorts. I’ve found that because I don’t have a lot of cute short outfits, I tend to live in my workout clothes when I’m with my girls. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, sometimes I would like to look a tad more presentable when we’re shopping at the mall or meeting daddy for lunch.
I found this top at Old Navy a couple of weeks ago and it was an easy sell for me because this top can be paired with almost anything – jeans, denim shorts, white jeans, a jean skirt, layered under a vest or a blazer, you name it. Then I thought I’d give some shorts a try. I already have a pair of dark denim shorts, so I knew I needed something slightly different color-wise.
I found these linen shorts and when I saw they were drawstring too, I knew I had to try them on. Y’all, they are just as comfy as they look. I like that they look and feel effortless, and at the same time, they look just a little more polished than my nike running shorts, haha.
