Dallas is finally experiencing real Fall weather and I think it’s here to stay – it even snowed a couple of days ago! {note: “snow” is a loose term in Dallas and means a dusting of snow in this case 😉 } When temperatures plummet though, I find myself reaching for items that are comfortable and warm and let’s be honest, that usually means some thick leggings and a pair of boots.
A big trend this season is knee high boots. Previously, I was very skeptical of this type of boot as I wasn’t too sure how well I could move in them. However, my mind was changed when I tried on this pair from Nordstrom Rack. The flexible fabric on the back half allows for a lot of movement while the faux leather front gives them a sophisticated feel. I paired them today with an oversized sweater and leggings – a combination that’s quickly becoming my uniform on my days off, but I cannot wait to pair these boots with a skirt and sweater and take them out for a spin on my next date night with the hubs.
Style tip: If you’re not comfortable wearing leggings, try adding a top with long coat tails under a cropped sweater or pair your leggings with an oversized sweater that covers your bum. 🙂
