Lately, the weather in Dallas has either been in the 70s or the 50s, and while I’m not complaining, it does make it a bit more challenging to dress for the season. I’ve found that some of the best things to wear in this weather are light layers, booties, and sweater dresses.

However, sweater dresses can look a little bulky on my 5’2″ figure sometimes, which steers me away from them. Some women can totally pull off the chunky, oversized sweater look with boots, but for me, it just swallows me up and makes me look bigger.

So, lately I’ve tried to learn to buy sweater dresses that not only flatter my figure, but that fit my feminine style. For example, I look for sweater dresses that are slightly more tailored in their cut, that have some lace detailing on them, or a frilly skirt/hem line like the SheIn dress in today’s post.

On that note, if you haven’t heard of SheIn, you desperately need to check it out! They have great trendy items that are almost always around $20. I mean, you can get some real steals! I do suggest reading their sizing recommendations because my sizing ranges from XS-M with them depending on the item. Oh, and if you’re not a “dress” person, I found this dress in a shirt version here from Nordstrom.
